Wow... Hong Kong is so lucky. :(  Kalafina is going there again.  This time as part of the far on the water tour.  And this time they are also going to Taiwan.

Okay... I am a little depressed now.  So close yet so far. :(

I cannot do HK and Taiwan.  I'm already going to far on the water's Tokyo lives in October and also going to the lives in Tokyo in Jan 2016.  I'm going to be so broke. :(

I tried to fit HK in because I know that there will probably be autograph opportunities unlike their lives in Japan.  But it's too hard.  I have given that up.

Kalafina ~ LIVE THE BEST 2015 Red / Blue Day BUDOKAN LIVE PHOTOBOOK - unboxing

It was a really long and stressful day at work. So in order to unwind before I start work on something personal, I decided to do this unboxing. :P

This is the "unboxing" of the Kalafina Budokan Live Photo Book which seems to be an Animate exclusive since no one else, including the Space Craft online webstore, seems to be offering this at this point in time.

When you first look at it, the cover doesn't look like much does it?  Just a book with a cover of a dark bluish background and some rays of light.  Well... wait till you open it. :P  The good stuff is all inside. :)

Yuki Kajiura Live vol.13 ~ March 2016 & Kajiura designed tote bags. :)

One of my friends went for Yuki Kajiura Live vol.12 Orchard Special over the weekend.  I am sooooo envious.... but then again, I am envious of those who go to any of the lives I cannot attend. :P

One thing she said was announced over the weekend is that Yuki Kajiura Live vol.13 will be in March next year.  Man.... I really want to go but I will most likely have to attend a wedding in Japan in the first week of April which makes going to a March live a little tricky. :(

If the live happens during the weekend of the 26th / 27th of March, that would be the most ideal for me.  That would mean that I could try and make those lives and then go to that wedding too. But if it is any other weekend in March... it would either be impossible for me or very difficult for me to go. If there are Osaka lives, I might have to try for those instead but again, it's really dependent on the dates of those lives. :(

Yuki Kajiura vol.12 Live ~ goods - computer case

I'm still slowly chipping away at my backlog of planned posts from the Yuki Kajiura vol.12 lives. :)

This time, I'll be putting up a few detailed photos of the computer case.  I think I did tweet two photos of it on two separate occasions on twitter but I haven't put any on the blog yet.  So it's time to rectify that. :)

Ieiri Leo ~ kimi ga kureta natsu - short MV version & track-list

Yesterday, Ieiri Leo released a short version of the MV for her soon to be song called kimi ga kureta natsu (君がくれた夏).

While it's not hugely different from some of her past work, I am very fond of Ieiri's voice and the song has grown on me somewhat.  I've pre-ordered two versions of the single from CDJapan.  I couldn't resist the LE that comes with goods too. :P

Which reminds me, the track-list for that single is also out.

Kalafina ~ One Light - postcard tokutens announce

Yay, the tokuten announce for One Light is here! :)  And boy does Kalafina look HOT!! :P

I'm not even kidding here, I really think they look really good in these photos. Man.... I really want these tokuten postcards.  I want the full set!! LOL!!!  Too bad most of these stores don't ship overseas. :(

As usual, with the anime tie-ins.  We get two postcards.  One will be the Kalafina postcard, the other will be the anime postcard.  In this case, since One Light is  the ED for Arslan Senki, we'll be getting that postcard too.  I must say, that postcard looks nice too. :)

I kinda like that bag charm. :P  If I were going to the Orchard Specials, I might have gotten the charm and the black t-shirt even though I have a TON of black tees. :P

Also, they are re-issuing those soup spoons from the Vol.8 lives.

Kalafina ~ far on the water - HMV-Loppi limited edition

Oh! Looks like if you buy Kalafina's just announced 5th album from HMV and you select the HMV-Loppi limited edition version you get a Kalafina towel for 700 yen more.

This picture from one of the HMV branches in Japan seems to indicate that they offer the towel on its own at 926 yen (not inclusive of tax) but I went to the HMV online store and they didn't have the towels on their own. They were only offering the combo sets with the album.

The picture says that if you buy the set, you'll get a 300 yen discount.

Kalafina ~ far on the water - a few rambling thoughts

Not much here.  Just wanted to update with the place-holder image that they released for this album release.  It's actually just one of the One Light photos, just graded down and with Kalafina superimposed on top.

Also, I was surprised to see that Amazon JP sold out of the LP version of far on the water even though they were probably the last online store to list the item.  That's fast! I knew it'll probably sell out on Amazon JP but I didn't think it would be so fast since they seem to have more stock of this item now at CDJapan and it's still available at some of the other online stores.

Also, in case anyone didn't notice this.  The LP version for far on the water is a 2 Disc release.  One of my friends who knows more about LPs then I do was wondering if it would be a 2 Disc and he was right.

Kalafina ~ far on the water - new album announce / listed

It's official!!!!! :)  Kalafina's fifth album will be released on the 16th Sept.  The announce was made just an hour or two ago but I only just got home so can finally gush with happiness at this announce. :)

There will be the four versions that was in the early news leak.  We're getting an analog LP too. :)  Dang it... I'm going to have to buy a turntable. :)

The DVD and the BD have more than just ONE music video this time.  We're going to be getting four video clips and making better use of the BD this time. :P

Yuki Kajiura Live vol.12 spoon in action :P

Yeah, I didn't manage to update the blog last night like I hoped.  I watched the live action adaptation of Assassination Classroom last night and came back too late to blog.  The film was a lot better than we expected and my friends and I enjoyed it a lot. I guess I'll try out the anime next. :)

What I did do was take some frozen yoghurt from the fridge and use the Yuki Kajiura Live vol.12 ice cream spoon for the first time since I opened them to do the unboxing photos. :P

I guess this will be my ice-cream / yoghurt eating spoon from now on.  :)

Tonight, I'll probably be home late again.  Not sure if I'll have the energy to blog.  I'm suppose to watch Chen Kaige's Monk Comes Down the Mountain tonight. Hope it's good!!

Okay, this will be the final post for tonight because I really don't want to sleep too late.  Need to catch up on more rest from the strain of the last two weeks at work and also because tomorrow, I have a full day out.  I'm not sure if I will be able to blog tomorrow night.  I hope so but for now, please enjoy this final post for the day. :)

Yes.... I can now finally stand up and be counted as one of the proud members of the FictionJunction Club!!!!! :)  I'm really happy and excited about it for some silly reason. :P

The truth is, I have hesitated long and hard over this membership.  I don't actually need it because the biggest advantage this membership gives me is the member pre-general-sales lottery for the lives and my Japanese friend, who is also a fan and who is in the FJC, already helps me with the tickets.  Even with this membership, I will probably still approach her for help because it's very inconvenient and impossible to handle the ticketing thing outside of Japan if you do not have a friend or if you do not use a proxy to help you.

I mean the ones that I have missing in my collection of course.  To be perfectly honest, I came across a lot of her music via the internet and now that I am a huge fan and I can afford it, I do try and support as much of her work as possible by purchasing them.

Kalafina ~ ring your bell - postcard tokuten FULL SET :)

I'm slowly working my way through a ton of planned blog posts.  It may take me a while to finish them all and hopefully I abandon none... I have abandoned quite a few posts before because I just had no time to deal... :(

Anyway, this one's a short one and it's not really current any more but I want to write it anyway because it took me quite a bit of effort to get this done. :P

Yeah, I wanna show off a bit because I had to buy ring your bell from four separate online shops and ship these four orders to my poor long suffering friend in Japan.  Then pick them up from her when I visited Japan and then trade one of the extra postcards I got with someone else so that I could get the FULL set of tokuten postcards for this release.

Kalafina ~ far on the water - album rumours :)

Okay, this isn't an official announce yet but it looks like according to some websites, the fifth Kalafina album will be released on 16th September, before their Japan tour in Oct. :)  A friend messaged me about it [thanks! :) ] and said rumours have been flying and at least this website has details of the release. :)

I'm thinking that these rumours are most likely true and this is an early leak. :) No prizes for guessing that the album will supposedly be called far on the water.  I think most of us were already guessing that there will be a new album this year and that it will be called far on the water. Given the general pattern of their releases, it made no sense to call the tour "far on the water" and not have an album of the same title.

Ieiri Leo ~ Kimi ga Kureta Natsu - short live PV

Less anyone forgets that I also rather like Ieiri Leo :P , here's a post about her soon to be released single.

Yesterday, her record label posted a video featuring her singing a short portion of her soon to be released song Kimi ga Kureta Natsu which translates into something like The Summer that you gave me.



I really, really do like her music and one of the things on my bucket list is to one day attend one of her lives.  It's just that Kajiura Yuki, FictionJunction and Kalafina always take priority for me since I really am a huge fan of their work.  And unfortunately, Ieiri's lives don't quite coincide or can't fit into my schedule when I am in Japan for Kajiura Yuki's and Kalafina's lives. :(

Kalafina ~ One Light - tv size - first impressions

The first episode of the new season of Arslan Senki just aired and so I've been able to listen to the tv size version of One Light. :)

First, as always, I am pleased to hear a new song from Kalafina and Kajiura Yuki. :)

When I saw the 15 sec CM, I rather liked the chorus bit they played and after watching the 1:30 min version, I still like that chorus.
