Ieiri Leo ~ Chocolate - unboxing

It's a little late but it's finally here... the unboxing of the Ieiri Leo single "Chocolate".  I'm glad I managed to get it out before her new album "a boy" ships in the next few days. :)

This single was released as 3 Limited Editions.  Each single contained the song "Chocolate' and it's instrumental version and a third track which was different in each version.  Type A and Type B consisted of a CD only while Type C contained an addition DVD with the music video for "Chocolate.  All three version contained a sticker with a message written by Ieiri and all came in a CD jewel case.  Type C's jewel case was placed in a special cardboard package.

Without further ado, let's put up the photos first.

Finally, this is the a photo of the poster one gets if you purchase all 3 versions of the single.  The CDJapan store said nothing about it but some of the other webstores did mention it.  So, I'm not sure if this poster is still available at CDJapan.

And yes, that is a Kalafina CD in the bottom left corner of that poster. :P  I don't have another Ieiri CD to hold the poster down, so I used the first CD within reach and it was Kalafina's Kimi no Gin no Niwa single. :)

I don't know what the size of the poster is.  I think it's a B2 size.

Also, did you notice the background that I used to shoot the CDs on?  Hahahaha... yeah, it's a Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica desk mat.  I decided not to use my boring white tiled floor for a change. :)

I like the song Chocolate.  It's quite sweet and, IMO, a departure from what she's released before.  While I do like her a lot, enough for me to replace almost all my Utada Hikaru and Angela Aki tracks in my player with her songs, I haven't reached the level of obsession where I will buy all versions of a release yet.  I'll only do that for Kajiura Yuki / FictionJunction and Kalafina right now. :)

The biggest and best reason to buy all three versions are the live tracks.  Ieiri is a very good live performer and I think Victor Entertainment knows it, hence, why they include a lot of her live recordings in her releases.  It's a good move because it's the biggest reason why my friend and I decided to buy all 3 versions.  If the release had the same tracks, we would not have bought all three versions.  I would not have bought the versions if they included things like different instrumental versions or different mixes.  I wanted the live tracks and they are not disappointing at all.

Ieiri's 2nd album will be released on the 19th Feb.  On the same day as the Kara no Kyoukai: Mirai Fukuin BD / DVD releases.  I have Limited Editions pre-ordered and CDJapan is showing that they are "in stock".  I think they will ship in a day or two.  I will have them in hand by the end of the week or early next week and will do the unboxing after that.

I can't wait to get both releases. :)

Okay... that's it for now.  I would like to do some reading and then call it an earlier night than usual.  I have a feeling that this might be a long week. :)
