Seriously? I didn't know that the requirements for a visa to Japan was restrictive for Malaysian citizens. :(
One of the girls I was travelling with is from Malaysia and she seemed to have no real problems getting a visa. But then again, she is also a Singapore PR, so I'm not sure if that made a difference.

Envy, envy! Love Japan but visa requirements for Malaysian citizens are so... restrictive that I couldn't possibly go for just a "short visit". :(
