Just a day after unveiling the second wave of promotional material, the official Weibo page for the series released an additional trailer, more behind-the-scenes videos, and another lot of images to announce the series' much anticipated release on the 27th of April.

Tong Yao plays Wang Yan 王焱

On the 24th Jan, the official Weibo account for With Love With You (有你的时光里) officially declared the start of the series' production and also announced its cast and other related information.  Simultaneously, posters, related images and a teaser video were also released.

There were rumours floating around Weibo that Tong Yao and Chen Xiao will be starring in a series called Xiao Ri Zi for some time. Now it's official.  The official Weibo account for this series announced that the series has gone into production a few days ago. The series is based on a novel of the same title by Yi Bei who also wrote the novel Xiao Min Jia 小敏家 which the relatively well-received series A Little Mood for Love (2021) was based on. There is no official English title for Xiao Ri Zi yet so I'll continue to use the pinyin of the Chinese title when I refer to it in English for now.

The official Weibo account for Gone with the Wind released a number of key visuals and the first trailer for the series on 6th May and it looks interesting.  This seems to be a departure from many recent Mainland series that I've watched, in the sense that the level of physicality seems to be higher than most and they seem to be pushing the envelope on what most audiences of Mainland series are used to.

The edit and use of music are also nice and it feels really evocative in the beginning before it builds to a nice climax.  The setting is an old town in China.  I forgot where but I've seen photos of it online and it's lovely.  If I remember or find out, I'll amend this paragraph.

Good news for fans of Tong Yao and Zhang Xincheng.  Today, we finally got more news about the series that they worked on together.  This bodes well because it also means that the series is likely to be released sometime this year and quite possibly in the first half of the year.

The production team for the series set up an official Weibo account this morning; here is the link. We also finally have an official English title.  Previously, the title was translated directly by cdrama viewers and it was known unofficially as Pale Fire.  The new official title is Gone with the Wind.
