It looks like Kalafina and Kajiura Yuki and the new Consolation album will get an indepth article in vol.13 of the anisong magazine Lisani!
The product page is up on Amazon Japan already but isn't up on CDJapan yet.
I may pick this up. We'll see. K...back to work. :)

Kalafina ~ Moonfesta RE - unboxing

CDJapan held a sale recently to clear some of their stock and one of the titles that was on offer was Moonfesta at 40% off, if I remember correctly. :)
It has been a while since I have picked up a Regular Edition of a Kalafina CD.
The biggest reason for my doing this, aside from the fact that it was really cheap, was because in all their recent singles release, there would be a solo photo of one of the three vocalists in Kalafina and Keiko only appears in the RE edition of the singles. I always pick up the BD LE which always has Hikaru and while I do like Hikaru and Wakana, Keiko is my favourite.
I really want to get them all but i can't afford it so I never get Keiko's solo photo from the CD. This time with the huge discount and also because I could get a friend to carry this back, it was too hard to resist... so here it ia... Moonfesta RE... and it's unboxing. :)

I wish I had known they were going to offer this. I already asked Manami to help me order it.  Ah well... for those who want this set... go grab them.  Seems like, for now, there is only a limited number of sets of sizes S, M, L.  Looks like they aren't offering the XL size which is sold out at the Spacecraft online shop.

FictionJunction + FJ YUUKA Yuki Kajiura LIVE vol.#4 PART1&2 Everlasting Songs Tour 2009 Blu-Ray release

I've been wanting to write about this release for some time but when I got the announce in my email some time ago, I was too busy with work to write the blog and even stopped reading Kajiura Yuki's tweets for a while.

However, now that I have a small window of time, I thought I would take this opportunity to write about it.

This is a Blu-ray re-release of the excellent Yuki Kajiura Lives from 2009.  Most of you will probably have seen both these concerts in their entirety on YouTube.  I know I have. :)  But it was also because I saw the concerts on YouTube that I also bought the Part.2 DVD which you see in the photo above. :)  It still remains one of my favourite Lives from any artist ever and I have watched it countless of times.

I've always wanted to pick up the Part.1 dvd with FictionJunction YUUKA too but there was always something else to buy and I never got around to it.  So when this re-release came up, I made up my mind that now is the time to buy this Live too.  Not only will I get Part 2 on BD, I will also finally own my own copy of Part 1.

This is a 2 Disc Blu-ray release of these two concerts and  with the BDs, we should get higher quality video and audio since they will no longer need to be restricted to DVD compression standards.  Awesome!!

For old and new fans of Kajiura Yuki, now may be the time to pick up these Lives.  The price is very reasonable.  This box set cost 5238yen which is cheaper than get both concerts on DVD separately.  So if you can afford, it and wish to buy the box set... here is the link to get it from CDJapan. :)

While writing this post, I also saw that there are other price down re-releases for some of Kajiura Yuki's previous CDs.

I may get these in the future... for now I have the BD set on pre-order and will do the unboxing when I get it in May. :)

Scandal in Singapore ~ part 1

I am writing a short post about this because I actually want to test out the blogger app that I just discovered on Goggle Play.

Bloggeroid can sometimes be fussy and when it does throw a fit, it drains my battery like crazy so I decided to check out other apps.

I actually always wanted to blog about the autograph session and the Scandal concert that I attended at Scape.

For now... i will just post a photo of the autographed cd i obtained the day before the concert. :)

Small update to the blog design

Just a note to let those who do read the blog know that I have added a search engine gadget to the blog.  It's on the right, just under the profile.

Since I don't label things very well, nor do I like to add a lot of new labels etc to the blog, I thought I'll add a search engine.  This way anyone looking for more stuff can find it a little easier.  I've been writing this blog since 2006... so I know it's getting a little hard to find certain blog posts. :)

Hopefully this little addition will be useful. :)

angela ~ Zero - album release

It's Sunday and I'm not in the mood to do my nihongo homework... so am delaying it by writing simple blog posts. :P

Anyway... one of the vocal groups that I do quite like aside from Kajiura Yuki and her projects is this group called "angela".  I love a lot of their old songs..."The End of the World" is my favourite and I can loop endlessly on my player when I feel like listening to that song.

I meet them at AFA too.. I think it was the 2011 AFA where I also meet Kalafina and I got both Kalafina's and angela's autographs... very exciting!!! :)

This is their 10th year anniversary and they will be releasing an album soon. Two of the songs in this album are from the K-Project anime.

The album cover art looks quite cool and the 1st Press Limited Edition from CDJapan comes with a ton of cool stuff.

The truth is I'm not exactly sure what that means but I think it is a 13x18 cm print with an autograph and message from angela
