Kalafina ~ Consolation - unboxing part 4

One of the problems I have had recently with blogging is that by the time I get home, all I really want to do is sleep. Last night was no exception... I could barely stay awake.

Hence, I will attempt to do this at the dining table instead of at my comp because this way I will be forced to be less long winded. :p

Here are the photos of the special photobook. I will attempt to upload four photos since I am on wifi. :) Enjoy!!









The photo book is rather nice and thick too... I counted approximately 58 pages Good quality paper and stylistically shot and treated. Mostly earth tones, sepia or almost black&white. Lots of low light, dramatic lighting, some low depth of field and even motion blur. Seems to me they may have been trying for a retro camera kind of look which would not be unsual because of their link to Kajiura Yuki and because their music, no matter how modern or rock, often have shades of classical music, or classical styles or world music in them. Maybe not everyone will like this conceptual treatment because you don't always get to see their faces clearly. But I like it because it makes this photo book different from the run-of-the-mill idol photo books.

I will upload more photos of this photobook in the next post and then after that...will be the CD and BD and the CD insert booklet. :) Enjoy.

Kalafina ~ Consolation - unboxing part 3

Here's part 3 of the unboxing of this awesome cd. :)





I can't upload too many photos at once when I mobile blog... so for now... just two photos. The limited edition of this album comes in a slipcase which includes the cd + bluray or dvd. Included in this slipcase is also a special photobook... which has alot of pretty photos of them. :)

The next post I might try and do at the computer later tonight or tomorrow...depending on work. My next shot looks tricky so I'm thinking i will have to put in some OT this week.

Kalafina ~ Consolation - unboxing part2

Here are the photos of the exterior of the CD+BD edition of this album release. The shrink wrap is off and the front and back of the slipcase have photos that are similar in composition and style, and are only differentiated by the slight change in poses and expressions of the three vocalists.

Kalafina ~ Consolation - unboxing part 1

Ever since I started doing prep at work, I've often been too tired to do much more than my Japanese homework when I am not doing something related to my work. Even blogging about Kajiura Yuki, FictionJunction and Kalafina has had to take a back seat and I think I have lost some steam. :(

In an attempt to kick start the blog again... I will attempt to do the unboxing of Kalafina's newest album via mobile blogging. :) It'll be tricky and will have to be in multiple parts because uploading too many photos often causes the app to simply not work...but this might get my engines running again and once I am in the roll, I think... I hope... I will be up to speed again. :)

Anyways... first up... here are the photos of the free postcard those who ordered the First Press release through CDJapan received. Kinda nice. Although these aren't closeups or even mid shots of the trio...still... i like the overall concept and feel of the photos for this new album.

I began this post with a photo of the front of the postcard... and I will end with a photo of the back of the postcard. :) Enjoy!

Kalafina ~ Consolation Cd+Bd unboxing tease

I shot the photos last night buy kept falling asleep at my comp...so had to give up my attempt at an unboxing post. :( I was so tired that I didn't even have the energy to rip the flacs to put on my portable player. Arrgghh!!!

Am out tonight after work too... meeting up with an old friend whom I have not seen in forever.

Hence, realistically, this unboxing post will probably only happen on Thursday night. Hopefully, work won't get in the way and I won't be exhausted and I can write more than just a mere unboxing post. :)

Really quickly...this CD release ia quite cool. It comes with a nice photo book with pretty nicely shot photos. I am please with it.

:) K...off to doze off for a bit in the train to work.
