We live in Singapura =)

I've not been blogging for a while due to my continued recovery from a long bout of flu and a horrendous 5 weeks at work. Although I still tire too easily for my liking, I still found time to check out this youtube clip, play some Wii and watch the very enjoyable Mainland China production of Crimson Blade aka Sword Stained With Royal Blood. I hope to talk about a bunch of things soon but we'll see how I feel.

Meanwhile, please check this youtube clip out. It may not make sense to you if you're not Singaporean. And if you're Singaporean or from the region, don't get too offended. It's just a fun way of putting into song the little quirks of being Singaporean. I love it because it shows that Singaporeans can laugh at themselves and we've been doing so for many years in spite of popular Western portrayals of us as brain-washed boring robots. A lot of the observations are true too, although I didn't get the James Lye VR-man one or the Margaret Chan one.

Anyway, enjoy it. =)

Photos - plastic cameras & cross process

On second thoughts, I think I'll upload photos the photos I shot on my plastic cameras and those that I cross-processed while I was in school. If I don't do it now, I think I'll probably forget.

I had two cheap plastic cameras. I scratched the lens of one the cameras to acheive the soft look that you get in these two photos above.

My other plastic camera. These cameras have a fake panoramic look. Basically, they just masked out the top and bottom to crop the exposed frame in the camera. I was particularly fond of shooting in this mode for this camera.

These photos was shot on my Minolta Dynax camera. I rather enjoyed cross processing my photos. To do this, we shot photos with slide film and got them processed as negatives then printed the photos. It's really hard to get film cross processed in Singapore. I haven't found anyone who does it yet. =( If anyone knows anyone who knows who does it, please let me know. Thanks.

K, that's it for now. =)

Photos - Minolta Dynax 500si

A combination of crazy hours at work and a really bad case of flu made it impossible for me to post any new entries on the blog for the last week or so. Anyway, I'll still keep this short as my new medication will probably kick in soon and make me drowsy.

Ages ago while I was still in school, I shot many photos with my trusty Minolta Dynax 500si. Although, I've not touched the camera for sometime since I picked up the Canon 300D DSLR, I'm still extremely fond of the camera I have owned since 1994 or 1995, I forget.

So here they are, here are just some of the photos I shot with my Minolta. In the future, when I have the time, I hope to continue placing more of them online.

All these photos were shot over a period of a few years in Illinois, USA.

Hope you enjoy the photos. =)
