I haven’t actually started watching Footprints of Change yet. I’m still in the middle of another drama, and since I usually watch with a companion, we have to coordinate our schedules.
That said, I sometimes multitask while watching, so I ended up creating English subtitles for the “making of” video for fun. I hadn’t planned to do any at first, but it looks like iQiyi didn’t translate all of the promotional material, leaving some interesting content untranslated.
I don’t intend to subtitle everything—there are simply too many videos—but I’ll probably pick and choose the ones I find most interesting and share them with fellow fans.
So far, I’ve completed the “making of” feature, which is always one of my favorites since it offers a peek behind the scenes. For Footprints of Change, a great deal of effort was clearly put into recreating the look and feel of the three different eras. The attention to detail is impressive.
From the trailer and the little I’ve seen so far, that effort really shows—the sets and costume design look excellent. The lighting and color grading look lovely too.
