Good Smile Company survey Feb 2015

Post by Good Smile Company (ENGLISH).

GSC is running a survey currently about where you buy your figures and what figures, past and future, you would like to see.

I asked for Kara no Kyoukai figures because by the time I fell in love with KnK, those figures were long gone. :(

I paid more than I should for this figure and carried it all the way home on one of my trips to Japan. :)

My obsessions in one video. :P

Apparently Google does these year in pictures type things too.  I thought it was only Facebook.  Well, this video summarises quite well all my obsessions.  LOL!!

Well, I need to get some work done.  Procrastinated all day. *sweat

For now... Merry Christmas to all who drop by and check out my blog. :)  Have a good Christmas and a great 2015. :)

cheers :)

Edit:
hmmmm...you may need a google+ account to view that video, i think. Well...while i dont think anyone else besides me is really that interested in it...still...i thought i would download it from google+ and upload it into youtube, if not it feels kind of incomplete. :)

Aniplex+ has been tweeting Madoka Magica stuff all week but I haven't had time to blog about it and I haven't really been reading twitter either.  But today, I have a bit of time so I decided to check out Aniplex+'s website and oh.... I didn't realise it but the images of the protoype for this figure have been released.  It looks like it could be quite nice!! :)

Have to start saving for this because if the finished product looks as awesome as GSC's 1/8 Scale Ultimate Madoka... I really might buy it. :P

Oh.... this was announced today at Wonder Fes.  They will be releasing a 1/8 Scale version of Akemi Homura devil version in December this year.

An earlier tweet in the day came attached with the photo below.

It seems like this will be done by Good Smile Company or at the very least distributed by them.

Gosh... this looks like it may be a really nice figure... oh dear... I think I might really want this. :P

Want to sell: GSC 1/8 scale Ultimate Madoka (mint in box)

this is a photo of the actual item itself

Hi guys... I'm helping a colleague with this.  She's looking to sell the 1/8 scale Ultimate Madoka for SGD200, pick-up only at an MRT station in Singapore.  This is mint in the box and was shipped over from Amazon US.

The price maybe be negotiable... I'm not sure.  She says the retail price for this figure is approx SGD300 from a brick & mortar store in Singapore.  But I'm can't confirm that because my own 1/8 scale Ultimate Madoka was from CDJapan.

This figure is currently OOP at most places.  If you want to go to GSC's product page, CLICK ME. I also shot some photos of it a while back at when it was on display at AFAMY, CLICK ME.

If you're interested, please leave me your email in the comments below and I will put you in touch with the person who wishes to sell this figure.

Before I go off .... let me just say that I am super excited about the screening of the 3rd Madoka Magica movie in Singapore later today!!!! :D

Oyasumi!! :)

UPDATE Feb 13th 2014:
SOLD ~ thank you :)

Figure JAPAN: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Edition (unboxing)

I finally have some time to do the Figure JAPAN: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Edition unboxing.  The first issue of Figure JAPAN comes with a Good Smile Company 1/10 scale Ultimate Madoka figure and was released in Dec 2013.  I rarely do figures unboxing because sometimes I can't bear to take them out of the box because I don't really have a lot of cabinet space to display them.  This particular figure is a beauty and I cleared some display cabinet space so that I could display it. :)

Alright... let's cut to the chase.  This will be a very picture heavy blog post because I think for things like these, photos can do most of the talking. :)

First up, here is a link to Figure Japan's website.  They have much nicer photos, so go check them out too. :) CLICK ME.

The box, still in its plastic packaging, with the magazine packed in.

Here's a size comparison with the Ultimate Madoka 1/8 scale figure.  It's probably not the best size comparison but my Ultimate Madoka 1/8 scale box isn't easily accessible right now, so this will have to do. :P

A couple of photos of the box without the plastic packaging.

Lots of photos of the packaging above.

The above are photos of the figure out of the packaging.  The wings have not yet been attached.

Here are photos of the wings.  It's pretty easy to attach the wings to the body although parts of the wings, hair and the tiny wings on the feet are a little sharp so take care.  The body and the build of this figure is quite sturdy, so while you don't have to be ultra careful when attaching the wings, still... it is best to do it with care so that you don't break any of that awesome dynamic looking hair. :)

The above are photos of the figure with the wings attached.  Pretty cool, right?  :)  I put a "chess piece" figure of Kyubey for size comparison. :)

The above are a few sample photos of the contents of the 40 page Figure JAPAN magazine.  It's very picture heavy which is nice for international fans who can't read Japanese.  There is a long article in the magazine detailing the process of making the 1/10 scale figure that comes with the magazine.  The other article features Madoka's seiyuu, Aoi Yuki. There's lots of photos of her with different Madoka figures.  The interview also asked Aoi Yuki questions related to figure collection.  Stuff like whether Aoi Yuki herself has any Madoka Magica figures in her home.  She replies yes and they continue to talk about the Madoka figures and customization and photos of figures etc.

FINALLY.... this is a photo of my 1/10 scale Madoka in my glass cabinet... my 1/8 scale is still in the box because I don't yet have the glass cabinet space to display it yet.  Now my 1/10 scale Ultimate Madoka stands next to my other GSC scale figures, Kara no Kyoukai's Ryougi Shiki and Fate/Stay Night's Tohsaka Rin. :)

If you would like to pick this up too, here is the link to the place that I bought this magazine from. :)  CLICK ME.  Currently, they list 6 units in stock.

I'm off to do some work now... cheers!! :)

Figure Japan ~ 1/10 scale Ultimate Madoka - tease

While yesterday was in general not a great day, there was one bright spark. :) This beauty finally arrived in the mail. :)

I took a few photos last night. I still have more that I need to take, then I will be ready to do an unboxing. :)

Cheers :)
