ufotable ~ Fate/Zero, Kara no Kyoukai: Mirai Fukuin BD LE boxset

Also, ufotable has also been making a few minor announcements yesterday and today.

source
First up, they have released the key visual for their remake of the Fate/Stay Night anime series.  I'm completely looking forward to this anime because I like ufotable, because I thought the first FSN was not the best of animes but had pretty good character designs and because I like Type-Moon. :)

They also released a list of the key staff members on this project but we don't know who will be doing the music yet.  I'm still really hoping it'll be Kajiura Yuki... but who knows.

Also, they released a graphic which details what the consumer can expect to get if they buy the Kara no Kyoukai: Mirai Fukuin BD Limited Edition boxset

source

I've already pre-ordered one of these and will do an unboxing when it arrives. :)  They are giving out tokutens too with the pre-order of this set but only to places like Gamers and Animate and ufotable's webstore. I would be very surprised if I got one.

For those who wish to get this too... here is where I ordered mine from.

Knk: Mirai Fukuin / Mirai Fukuin Extra Chorus Blu-ray with CD Limited Edition
KnK: Mirai Fukuin / Mirai Fukuin Extra Chorus DVD with CD Limited Edition
KnK: Mirai Fukuin Regular Edition
KnK: Mirai Fukuin Extra Chorus Regular Edition

Have a good CNY guys... I'm out of here for now... my relatives should arrive soon and then it's time to feast again. :P

Mahou Shoujo Madoka ~ Rebellion - Singapore screening pretty much sold out

source
Wow... the tickets for the 3rd film in the Mahou Shoujo Madoka franchise have pretty much sold-out. Three of the four screenings have sold out and there is only ONE seat left at the Sunday 12pm screening.

I think this is a good thing and bodes well for the future of anime screenings in Singapore.

I hope that maybe this year we can see Evangelion 3 and Captain Harlock as well.

As for me... I've managed to secure 8 tickets for one of the screenings and am completely looking forward to watching this film again. :)

p.s. A little after I posted this post last night... all tickets for the Madoka movie 3 screening sold out!! omedetou!! :)

Hunter x Hunter: The Last Mission ~ opens 20th Feb, Singapore

source
Also opening on the 20th Feb in Singapore is Hunter x Hunter: The Last Mission.  IMO, this isn't quite an obscure title as ufotable's Majocco Shimai no Yoyo to Nene because Hunter x Hunter is a long running anime series with a large fan base and the previous Hunter x Hunter movie did screen in Singapore last year.

I'm not really a fan of Hunter x Hunter and only saw the previous movie because I wanted to support screenings of anime films in cinemas in Singapore.  I will definitely be picking the Majocco Shimai no Yoyo to Nene screening over this but I have a bad feeling that ufotable's film will probably have the more inconvenient screening times. :(

That said, it's still awesome news that we have another anime film screening in Singapore.  With the way things are going... maybe there is hope for us to one day see stuff like the AnoHana movie and the Nanoha movies. :)

Without further ado, here is the Hunter x Hunter: The Last Mission trailer. :)

Majocco Shimai no Yoyo to Nene ~ opens 20th Feb, Singapore :)

source
This is turning out to be a very good start to 2014 for anime fans in Singapore.  Not only are we getting some of the more mainstream titles, we are even getting some of the lesser known titles.

First up... coming from the awesome ufotable is Majocco Shimai no Yoyo to Nene (魔女っこ姉妹のヨヨとネネ) and that will screen at Orchard Cineleisure.  If this is like the Kara no Kyoukai: Mirai Fukuin screenings, we'll probably see it screen for a week and a possible second week screening depending on how well it does.

Please... please... please... don't screen at some really inconvenient time!! I want to watch this anime film because this comes from ufotable and I think they are great!! :)

Here are tow of the Majocco Shimai no Yoyo to Nene's trailers below.

ufotable is most famous for the animes they have made in collaboration with Type-Moon, like the Kara no Kyoukai films and the Fate/Zero anime series. I'm really interested to see something so different from what ufotable is most famous for. :)

I'm definitely going to try and go. :)

Gong Xi Fa Cai

Happy Lunar New Year everyone!! I wish everyone a fantastic Year of the Horse. May you have a prosperous and successful year and may you be blessed with good health and happiness.

恭喜发财 心想事成 马到成功 出入平安 万事如意 国泰民安

And for us Kajiura Yuki, FictionJunction, Kalafina, Japanese music, anime, jdorama and film fans... may there be more lives, anime screenings, good music, events, dramas etc in Singapore and may Kajiura Yuki/FictionJunction, Kalafina and Ieiri Leo hold lives in Singapore!! :p

Mahou Shoujo Madoka ~ Rebellion (movie 3) SG screening - selling fast

Super busy at work... but will do this real quick during lunch.

If any of you want to buy these tickets... do it ASAP.  All four screenings are selling very well and currently probably more than 2/3 of the seats have been sold since they started going on sale at noon today.

I've secured 7 tickets for my friends and I.  Just waiting for one more person's reply and if she says yes, I will try and get her a ticket.

So if you really want to watch this movie on the big screen... don't wait too long to get the tickets. :)

Mahou Shoujo Madoka ~ Rebellion (movie3) ticket info out (updated)

source
I'm just going to post the pix with the info for now.  Am in a hurry. :)  Later.

30th Jan 723am
Looks like there will only be 4 screenings.  So this isn't a general screening but more like a special screening and they only have morning and afternoon screenings and they aren't going through Cathay cinema's ticketing system.

They are going through Eventclique.

This is the direct link to the order page for these tickets. CLICK ME.

source

The above is a picture of the merchandise that they will be offering on the day of the screenings.

Okay... got to get ready for work. :)

Alice Nine ASIA TOUR 2014 Supernova Symphonia - in Singapore too!!

For Japanese music lovers... aside from KPP, we'll also be getting Alice Nine. :)

I'm not a big fan but some of my friends are really excited. :)

If I have spare cash I may got too... but so far it isn't my top priority.  We'll see.  Also, I'm still waiting for the announce for the 2nd Japanese artist to grace our shores.  The Japan Music Festival's second announce was delayed from the 27th Jan to 7th Feb.  So... we'll have to wait till then to find out who the next artist after KPP will be. :)

cheers

Studio Ghibli's Kaze Tachinu (The Wind Rises) will screen in Singapore, 20th March

source: Encore Films
They haven't started publicizing this aggressively yet since it's still early days so I'm not sure how many people know this yet... but Encore Films will be bringing Studio Ghibli's Kaze Tachinu to Singapore.  That's awesome news.  We've not seen a Studio Ghibli film in Singapore cinemas for some time.  I don't remember which was the last one that screened.  Maybe Ponyo?

So far, it's just a soft announce.  The website printed in the picture above, isn't even live yet... at least I got a 403 error

Anyway, the film looks like it'll be screening in the Golden Village cinemas since they're logo is on the poster. Encore Films announced last week that the film will open on the 20th Mar.  I'm sure it'll sell well... at least comparatively well.  It'll definitely move more tickets than Kara no Kyoukai that's for sure.  I intend to watch this in the cinema too. :)

Before I leave... here is the trailer. :)

Mahou Shoujo Madoka ~ Rebellion (movie 3) - shikishi freebie

I'm writing this a lot later than I intended because I was finishing up Shotenin Michiru no Mi no Uebanashi which is a pretty good watch. It's not new. It's last year's dorama but I didn't have a lot of time for television last year.  I really like Toda Erika, I think she's a pretty good actress and very watchable.  The cast was all pretty good in this series.  I particularly like Toda Erika and Kora Kengo... but I'm digressing... back to Mahou Shoujo Madoka. :P

As promised... here are the photos of the shikishi freebie one will get if you go for the special Mahou Shoujo Madoka ~ Rebellion movie screening in Singapore on either 8th or 9th Feb.

I got these when I watched the movie on the day it opened in Tokyo last October. I took photos of them then but I was thinking I'll just keep them for when I get around to writing the entry about last year's trip to Japan... hopefully I will get to the post itself.  The photos... I'll post them up here.

So without further ado... here are the photos. :)

I went to watch the film with three other people but we weren't very lucky at all and of the 4 shikishis we received, all but one of them were of Madoka.  If I remember correctly, Itsuko was the only one who got something different.  She received Akemi Homura's shikishi.  Pam and Itsuko very kindly gave me theirs because they both know that I'm like a HUGE fan of the anime. :)  Thanks!! :)

The shikishi isn't very big and it comes in a shape of a square.  I put my 3DS LL next to it for a visual comparison.

And here are the photos of the shikishi themselves.  I forgot to take a photo of the back.  But the back is just a plain cream back with some sparkly bits.

If any of you are interested... the BD / DVD of this film will also be released soon.

They will come in 3 versions and will have English subs. :)  Yay!! :)

I have pre-ordered a copy of the BD Limited Edition.  For those who may want to get it too...this is the site I usually get my stuff from.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Rebellion [w/ Bonus Blu-ray+CD, Limited Edition]
~ original soundtrack CD :)
~ BD containing a 2 hour special program that was aired on TV Tokyo
~ 描き下ろし三方背BOX -- I'm thinking this means that the box that the digipack is enclosed in will have illustrations on 3 of the sides?
~ illustrated digipak
~ special booklet

Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Rebellion BD [Regular Edition]

Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Rebellion  DVD [Regular Edition]

Just a bit about the film... for those who have never watched Madoka before... make sure you watch either the series or the 2 films that come before it. If not, you will have no idea what this film is about.

Which reminds me... I never got around to doing the unboxing of the BD boxset of the first 2 films.. I think I'll do that next in the coming days. :)

Also...I think it maybe useful for those who haven't watched the anime in a while to watch either the series or the first 2 films again too.  This film is a visual and audio treat but the story in the 3rd film is actually not as easy to understand as the what came before it. I think it'll be a film that will split the fans. I personally liked what I understood and saw. I loved the visual style and the music. Kajiura Yuki rocks!!! :D  And I liked what I understood of the story, I thought it was interesting... but the Japanese in this film is HARD, I think the concepts are hard which maybe why the Japanese wa really hard for us. Except for Itsuko, who's Japanese, the rest of us really needed the subtitles to help us understand this film fully.  So, I'm really looking forward to the screening of this film because I totally need to watch it again so that I can get a fully picture. :)

Okay... time for bed... it's 2am.  Oyasumi!! :)

Mahou Shoujo Madoka ~ Rebellion (movie 3) will screen in Singapore!! :)

source

This comes via AFA's Facebook page.  They announced today that the 3rd film in the Mahou Shoujo Madoka franchise will screen in Singapore on the 8th & 9th of Febuary.  And it comes with the shikishi freebie that viewers at the premiere screening in Japan received.  I have two of Madoka and one of Homura.  There are five of them but unfortunately for us... everyone got Madoka except Itsuko who gave me her Homura... thank you Itsuko!!

I am sooooo going to try and make this screening. I don't just love this anime, I also love Kajiura Yuki's music and Kalafina's songs for this anime... once again I will get to hear them in a cinema hall. :) :)

They will be bringing in some of the merchandise too.  I didn't get a chance to buy them in Japan because it was so crowded and when I got to the shop, I didn't see them.  So hopefully I will have a chance this time.

I hope I get a different shikishi though.  When I get home... I'll take photos of it and put it up on the blog. Am now at work now.

Rejoice SG anime fans... it looks like the god of anime is finally smiling down on Singapore. :)

cheers

FictionJunction ~ elemental - Kajiura Yuki radio program ep3

http://www.jvcmusic.co.jp/fj/top.html
It's kinda late but I thought I'll just talk about it a little bit anyway. Usually, the FictionJunction special website for the "elemental" album will update the radio program link on Tuesday so I am quite late. :P  The album has been released an most people would have heard it already.

This episode of the radio program highlights one of the four new songs from the album.  The song that is featured is Gaika (凱歌) which happens to be my favourite of the new songs.  Wakana is the main vocal in this song.

I wish my Japanese was a lot better because I don't understand most of what Kajiura Yuki.  I think the only think I really understood was this... I think she said her sister didn't like this song. :) Ah well... I love it!!! :)

For those who wish to download it... here is the link.  CLICK ME.

I'm going to go offline for a bit... I think I'm falling ill... so I should get ready for bed and call it an early night.

enjoy

p.s.
Don't forget... if you love the music please support by purchasing the album if you can afford it. :)  I usually get it from here:

Kalafina ~ Salad Bowl

It's late but it's a Friday so I decided to write a post instead of sleeping. :)  Also, it was a pretty good day at work and I'm in a pretty good mood. :D  I learnt more about prep work today and my lead on this show is really good and patient which is really good for me emotionally right now because for a while, I think I was feeling a little battered.

One "good" thing that did come out of me feeling battered is that I decided that I needed some shopping therapy and I made an impulsive purchase which I am happy to say I totally do not regret. :)

This salad bowl isn't a new release.  It was released in 2011 and I think it was released as part of the merchandise for the first Kalafina Cafe... but I could be wrong.

I've actually never seen what the actual item looked like.  I've only seen a graphic which is usually not very accurate at all.

Kalafina Cafe Salad Bowl / Kalafina

So without too much ado... here are the photos of the Kalafina salad bowl. :)

v

This came in the same shipment as my FictionJunction "elemental" cd.  The bowl itself is packaged in a sturdy cardboard box and enclosed in bubble wrap before it is put into a larger box with a ton of packaging.

Since it's a salad bowl, it isn't very big but it's actually at the size that I like and wanted for a salad bowl.  I put my Nintendo 3DS LL on the bowl so that you can get a visual reference as to what the circumference of the bowl is.

The bowl is not pure white, it is slightly off white and the Kalafina Cafe logo is printed on the bottom.  It's actually a rather nice bowl and I really like it and use it everyday at work.  Although... I hardly ever use it for salad itself though. :)

About two months ago, my colleague placed some food in her salad bowl and passed it to be.  I really liked her salad bowl and use it for a while to put chips, senbei, strips of seaweed etc as I sad at my desk and worked.  So I started to get really interested in getting a salad bowl to leave at the office too since I can't borrow her's forever.  I've always wanted to get the Kalafina Cafe salad bowl.  The most "girly" part about my personality is that I really like cutlery and tableware and would sometimes spend time at a departmental store just admiring things like salad bowls. :)  However, I never really had a good reason to buy a salad bowl, till now... now, I need a salad bowl to leave at work. :P

So here you go... a photo of my salad bowl being useful. :)

I'm really tempted to get the cup and the placemat too....

Kalafina Mug Cup / Kalafina Kalfina Luncheon Mat (Placemat) / Kalafina

.... they look kinda nice don't they... but I don't really have the spare cash for this, nor do I have a good enough reason to get them.  Maybe someday, if they don't sell out of these items, I will pick up one of these items.

Alrighty folks, that's it for today... off to bed now. Oyasumi. :)

Kara no Kyoukai ~ Mirai Fukuin - makes it to a 2nd week of screenings

Cathay
Something real quick before I head to bed.

KnK Mirai Fukuin made it to a 2nd week of screenings.  The timing's aren't that great though, unfortunately for me.  There is no way that I can make any of the screenings during the week.  The only opening left for me is Saturday... dang it... I wish there was a evening screening.. now I'll need to try and shift things around. :(  I badly want to watch this again.

Still... it's good that KnK made it to a second week of screenings.  This isn't exactly a big title, nor is it one of the more popular ones in Singapore. Studio Ghibli's Kaze Tachinu will probably outsell this by a ton of times. Kaze Tachinu will screen in March in Singapore.  I already have a ton of people asking me to arrange something.... wow!!

Anyway, I'm really happy that KnK screened in Singapore and that I got to watch it on the big screen.  While I like Studio Ghibli's work, I actually like other stuff more than Ghibli... um... I actually like Kara no Kyoukai more than almost everything Ghibli has done, except for Nausicaa.  :P

Okay... off to bed.... if any of you haven't watched KnK yet... and you're a KnK fan... make sure that you try and go sometime soon.  I don't think it'll make it to a 3rd week of screenings.

cheers :)

FictionJunction ~ elemental - unboxing

I just got home about 20 minutes ago.  Another long day at work but I learnt a lot of new stuff and except for being quite tired... it wasn't a bad day at all.  This does mean that I will have to try and blast through this.  If I get through this reasonably fast, I may post another one or two posts about something else.  For now... let's get going. :)

This arrived in the mail yesterday and I've already ripped flacs and placed them on my Creative Zen player and listened to the new songs about two to three times through.

First up... the unboxing photos, then just a teeny tiny bit about my thoughts about the new album.

The above are photos of the slipcase with the shrink wrap on and off.  The paper uses to print the slipcase has a matte finishing which I quite like.

The jewel case slips out from the top or bottom of the slipcase which is a little unusual.  Most CD slipcases are designed for jewel cases to slip and out from the side.

The rest of the packaging is pretty standard stuff.  It's a standard jewel case with a insert booklet of lyrics. What is interesting is that there are NO photos of any of the current main vocalists in FictionJunction.  The only photos in the booklet are of Kajiura Yuki who's pretty low key as usual.  Mostly mid-shots and she doesn't look at the camera at all.  Fans of the FJ vocalists maybe a little disappointed with it but I'm okay with it since I'm a big Kajiura Yuki fan and there are way more photos of the FJ vocalists then there are of Kajiura Yuki.

This is a pretty decent release because it comes packed with 13 songs.  Although there are only 4 songs on this album that can be called new, still if you don't own any of their previously released singles, then this isn't a bad release to get.  I own a ton of their more recent releases but I actually don't own any of the FictionJunction Yuuka releases, so I guess I'm getting more than 4 new songs? :P  I wish that Gatherway was one of the songs on this album though because I really can't justify buying Harvest for just one song.

Anyway, so far I have to say that 凱歌 (Gaika / Victory Song) is my early favourite of the 4 new songs and is extremely likely to remain in top position in the future as well.  I really like the guitars and the mostly flat melody. Unfortunately for Keiko fans like me, none of the new songs feature Keiko in a big way.  She gets very few lines where the mix favours her.  Even though the booklet states that Keiko sings vocal in "storm", along side Wakana, but the mix still favours Wakana and Keiko gets no solo lines in that song.  That said, although she's mostly in support in the four new songs, I still love her support work.  When I first fell in love with Keiko's voice, it was really in songs where she's mostly in support anyway.  She really does combine very well with both Wakana and Kaori.  I especially LOVE Keiko in Gaika.

Anyway, my 2nd favourite is Kaori who's the main vocal on "elemental" and "storytelling".  :)

I'm quite happy with my purchase and I like all the new in varying degrees.  Nice mix of classical, world music, rock and lots and lots of that lovely harmony and layering that is sooooo Kajiura Yuki.  Keiko's lovely rendition of "nohara" is also on this album and I have a soft spot for "Stone Cold" after hearing it live at my first Kajiura Yuki live in Japan.  Oddly, the song I like the least on this album is Yuuka's "hitomi no chikara".  Don't get me wrong, I like Yuuka and love a lot of her songs with Kajiura Yuki.  But that song is really not my kind of song... I find it boring and I usually skip it when it comes up on rotation. :P

Alrighty... my usual line... if you like Kajiura Yuki, FictionJunction and the music... please do buy the album.  Who knows when FJ will release another one... the previous release was in 2010. :)

FictionJunction ~ elemental album

Looks like I won't be getting to one of my planned posts on Kalafina... maybe tomorrow night.

I'll write one more short post after this and then it's to bed!! :)

But Ieiri Leo's official website just announced that she will be releasing a new album on 19th Feb and since she is my current favourite solo artist... I feel like blogging about it. :)

Looks like there will be two versions.  One regular edition and one limited edition with a DVD.  The DVD will include more live footage and music videos. More live footage is awesome... she's great live.

FictionJunction ~ elemental - audio samples for all songs

http://www.jvcmusic.co.jp/fj/top.html
I really don't know when they uploaded audio samples for all the songs on the FictionJunction "elemental" album that will be released today. Previously, they had only released samples of the songs that have already been released. While I have been checking the webpage occasionally to listen to the radio program that Kajiura Yuki hosts, I didn't look to see if there were updates on the audio samples.  It was only after I read the AFA article on FictionJunction and the release of "elemental" that I realized that all the samples have been released.

So I thought I would highlight it to anyone who didn't realize this and also don't read AFA's page to go check out the FictionJunction webpage for "elemental" :)  CLICK ME.

I am really quite excited about this release.  I've listened to all the samples of the new songs and I must say they all sound quite interesting.  I really can't wait to listen to the full versions.

My order has shipped and it should arrive by the end of the week, fingers crossed.  I will do the unboxing when I receive it. :)

Don't forget... if you can afford it... please buy their album in support of Kajiura Yuki and FictionJunction. :) Click the link below if you'll like to get it from the place I usually get my stuff from.

FictionJunction ~ elemental album

I'm also happy to see AFA highlight FictionJunction and Kajiura Yuki on their website.  Hopefully this is an indication that maybe someday we might get lucky and FictionJunction and Kajiura Yuki will perform at AFA... and since I live in Singapore... I hope it's during the Singapore leg of AFA of course. :P

Alrighty... time to go... it was a bit of a crazy day which say me eat lunch at almost 6pm.... am tired and have to be at work early for training again tomorrow... off to bed.  Oyasumi. :)

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu & the Japanese Music Festival in Singapore

source
Late last year Kyary Pamyu Pamyu said that she will be returning to Singapore in 2014 and when my friends and I were discussing who may be the first artist that the Japan Music Festival announce would be about, I guessed KPP.  And now it's official.  It is KPP... if only I had put money on it. :P

While I would still rather the announce had been about a Kajiura Yuki x FictionJunction solo live or a Kalafina solo live, the chances of them coming to Singapore for a solo live is, in my opinion, not that high since they are more closely linked to anisong than J-pop or J-rock etc.  Sozo, the company that is behind the Anime Festival Asia and J-Live etc in Singapore, has, to my knowledge, never brought in any anisong artist for a solo gig outside of AFA.

Last year KPP performed to a full house at the Scape Warehouse and my friends and I went.  It was a lot of fun.  We plan to go this year too.  Hope it works out. :)

Most of the details aren't out yet.  This was just announced today via Facebook, Twitter and the JMF website.  JMF is a new thing that Sozo is doing.  I think they are trying to make it BIG... much bigger than just the occasional J-Live, J-Rock lives they have been organizing for the last 2 years.

While I must confess, I am not a huge KPP fan... I do like watching her live... very fun.  And I actually really like some of her songs like Ninjya Re Bang Bang.  So I'm really looking forward to seeing her live again.  I wonder if Sozo will try and use a bigger venue this time or stick to Scape.  One thing I really like about lives at Scape is that the venue is small and it really has a great live house kind of vibe.

While KPP's coming doesn't stop me from moping about not being able to see Kajiura Yuki x FictionJunction or Kalafina live anytime soon.... still... she is a performer that I like and enjoy... so it'll help tide me over till I can get enough money together to make another trip to Japan to see either Kajiura Yuki x FictionJunction live or Kalafina live. :)  And if their live dates are close to an Ieiri Leo live... that would be like super and maybe I could see her live too!! :P

The next announce from JMF will be on the 27th Jan.  I wonder who?  Perfume?  SID?  Flumpool?  Someone else from the artists Amuse manages?  Amuse seems to have a pretty good relationship with Sozo.  Maybe Fukuyama Masaharu?  He is going on tour to Taiwan and HK in June.  I don't think it'll be Ieiri Leo, even though I would be super happy if she comes to Singapore, but I have a feeling she isn't popular enough in SEA yet for a solo live... but I could be wrong... fingers crossed.  So exciting for us Japanese music fans!! :)

Figure JAPAN: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Edition (unboxing)

I finally have some time to do the Figure JAPAN: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Edition unboxing.  The first issue of Figure JAPAN comes with a Good Smile Company 1/10 scale Ultimate Madoka figure and was released in Dec 2013.  I rarely do figures unboxing because sometimes I can't bear to take them out of the box because I don't really have a lot of cabinet space to display them.  This particular figure is a beauty and I cleared some display cabinet space so that I could display it. :)

Alright... let's cut to the chase.  This will be a very picture heavy blog post because I think for things like these, photos can do most of the talking. :)

First up, here is a link to Figure Japan's website.  They have much nicer photos, so go check them out too. :) CLICK ME.

The box, still in its plastic packaging, with the magazine packed in.

Here's a size comparison with the Ultimate Madoka 1/8 scale figure.  It's probably not the best size comparison but my Ultimate Madoka 1/8 scale box isn't easily accessible right now, so this will have to do. :P

A couple of photos of the box without the plastic packaging.

Lots of photos of the packaging above.

The above are photos of the figure out of the packaging.  The wings have not yet been attached.

Here are photos of the wings.  It's pretty easy to attach the wings to the body although parts of the wings, hair and the tiny wings on the feet are a little sharp so take care.  The body and the build of this figure is quite sturdy, so while you don't have to be ultra careful when attaching the wings, still... it is best to do it with care so that you don't break any of that awesome dynamic looking hair. :)

The above are photos of the figure with the wings attached.  Pretty cool, right?  :)  I put a "chess piece" figure of Kyubey for size comparison. :)

The above are a few sample photos of the contents of the 40 page Figure JAPAN magazine.  It's very picture heavy which is nice for international fans who can't read Japanese.  There is a long article in the magazine detailing the process of making the 1/10 scale figure that comes with the magazine.  The other article features Madoka's seiyuu, Aoi Yuki. There's lots of photos of her with different Madoka figures.  The interview also asked Aoi Yuki questions related to figure collection.  Stuff like whether Aoi Yuki herself has any Madoka Magica figures in her home.  She replies yes and they continue to talk about the Madoka figures and customization and photos of figures etc.

FINALLY.... this is a photo of my 1/10 scale Madoka in my glass cabinet... my 1/8 scale is still in the box because I don't yet have the glass cabinet space to display it yet.  Now my 1/10 scale Ultimate Madoka stands next to my other GSC scale figures, Kara no Kyoukai's Ryougi Shiki and Fate/Stay Night's Tohsaka Rin. :)
