Kajiura Yuki ~ Madoka Magica - new concept movie - BGM announce

There's also another piece of news that should excite Kajiura Yuki fans and MadoMagi fans too. :)

Japanese anime news sites are announcing that there will be a Madoka Magica concept movie that will screen at the "Shaft 40th Anniversary MADOGATARI Exhibition".  The same team of people that made the MadoMagi movies also made this concept movie. This includes Shinbo Akiyuki, Aoki Ume and Urobuchi Gen.

It seems that they are working towards a continuation of the series. :)  As far as I can tell, they didn't actually announce a new series / movie but they did write "新作に向けて打ち合わせを続けてきました". Okay, my Japanese isn't that strong but I THINK that means something along the lines of them continuing to work towards a new piece of work. :)  And the article also wrote "この映像は、『魔法少女まどか☆マギカ』新作のヒントとも呼べる要素がふんだんに盛り込まれた、新たな物語の扉を開く“コンセプトムービー”。" Which I THINK means something like the this concept film can be called a strong hint that there will be a new piece of work and that the concept movie opens the door to a new story.  I'm a MadoMagi fan so this makes me HAPPY because it looks very likely that they will announce a sequel to the franchise.

Kajiura Yuki does the music for the concept movie. YES!!!!!! Her music for the entire MadoMagi franchise is stellar. Loved it!!

Kajiura Yuki ~ "boku dake ga inai machi" anime BGM announce

OH!!! Joy joy joy!!!! Kajiura Yuki just announced a little while ago on twitter that she wrote the BGM music for "Boku dake ga inai machi".  It's been a while since she announced that she's doing the OST for an anime.

The anime is scheduled to air in Jan 2016 in FujiTV's Noitamina slot.

In a series of subsequent tweets, Kajiura wrote that she was a fan of the manga even before she was asked to write the BGM for it and was very pleased that she was asked to write the music for it. :)

I can't wait!! :)

Kalafina ~ far on the water - Mexico live announced

Wow! Lucky Mexico and fans in the area. Kalafina is going to hold a one man live in Mexico.

Pretty cool for Kalafina too. :)

But the selfish part of me is sad. :'(
Still waiting for Kalafina's first one-man live in Singapore.

Although we are luckier than some, so it is hard to complain. They came for AFA in 2011 in Singapore and 2012 to AFA Malaysia, both of which I was able to attend. Then there was AFA Indonesia and Thailand which I couldn't go. :'( But SEA has yet to see a one-man Kalafina live....if that ever happens, I selfishly hope it will be in Singapore. :P

Meanwhile, I am off to mope. :'(

I woke up to some pretty happy news. :)  Yay!!!

Yuki Kajiura Vol.12 pamphlet

I forgot that I never did a proper "unboxing" of this pamphlet.  I never really got around to it because I had been posting bits and pieces of it on the blog and on twitter when I was in Japan.  When I returned to Singapore, it seemed like enough of the pages have been floating around that it didn't really seem necessary anymore.

However, someone left me a comment on the blog asking me if I could shed some light on this release so I decided to do a really quick post of it.  I re-shot photos of it because I don't know where the previous photos are since I was randomly posting them up.

Kalafina ~ far on the water - HK only live goods

Hello, it's been a while.  Super busy and tired but I really wanna try and squeeze this in before I go off to work.

So Kalafina just recently concluded the Hong Kong leg of their far on the water tour over the weekend.  Let me just take a short moment to shed a few tears that their tour did not include Singapore. :'( :'( :'(   I could not afford the time or the money to go since I already planned to be in Japan for the fotw special tour lives that end the tour so even though HK is nearer and cheaper than Japan and there are autograph opportunities....  sigh.... no go for me. :(

STILL.... some friends of mine went. :)  And they helped me to get the HK only live good which is this Thermo mug.  So I decided to take a couple photos and share it with anyone else who's interested. :)

Not the best photos but I was in a real hurry this morning, so these will have to do.  Oh... I also asked my friend to buy me a wristband but that's not a HK only good.  I'll do that in another post tonight, along with the Yuki Kajiura vol.12 pamphlet someone else asked me about. :)

Looking forward to Jan/Feb 2016

So tired and frustrated at work today. And I really wanted to go home for dinner today and not have to eat the crappy dinner at the company again. Okay....maybe it isn't that crappy and it is free....but if I am eating that dinner...it means OT again. And I am really really really tired today. :( :( :(

I am really struggling to hold on to good thoughts right now. So am gonna try and think of Jan/ Feb 2016 because I am going back to Japan again! :)

Yay!!!! Happy thoughts happy thoughts!!! I have pretty much secured tickets to four lives in Jan / Feb. I will attend my first FictionJunction Club members only live on the 23rd Jan. That's the 8th Anniversary Kalafina live. My first Kalafina Anniversary live! Yeah!!

Yuki Kajiura ~ Poetics of Fiction making (Eureka Nov 2015 magazine)

I've been kind of busy lately again so a quick post again.  I know there are a few replies in the comment section. Thank you for the replies, I'll answer them another day. :)

When I first heard from a friend that there will be a mook on Kajiura Yuki that will be released, I was pretty excited and decided that I will get it and so it went into pre-order ages ago.  I did finally receive this along with the B-PASS with AAA on the cover that keeps getting sold out.  I want that for Kalafina's column of course. :P. Well, I do like AAA.  One of the few groups that sing dance music that I like but my favourite still remains Kajiura Yuki's music. :)
