mahou shoujo madoka bluray vol.2 unboxing

Once again, this will be a short post.  Really busy these days. So blogging has to take a back seat again. :(

Yesterday, I received Mahou Shoujo Madoka bluray volume 2 in the mail.  This volume is of much interest to fans of Kajiura Yuki's music because it contains vol.1 of the Kajiura scored OST for the anime.  I plan on listening to it in the office as I work today. :)

Here are pictures of the unboxing.  The formatting of this post maybe kind of ugly for a while.  I have less control over that when I mobile blog and correcting it on my mobile is possible but a little tedious, so I prefer to do it when I am on my PC.  So bear with it for a bit. :)  k. Enjoy. :)

p.p.s.  Oh... and I did listen to the OST several times in the office yesterday.  It's fantastic.  Exactly the kind of stuff I like, which is why I love Kajiura's stuff so much.  I wished it was longer but ah well... there is always Vol.2 of the OST to look forward to. :)  Once again, I've very happy with my purchase.  :)

They have also announced what special CD will be packed with Vol.3 of the bluray and as suspected, it will not be another Kajiura OST.  It will be this "虚淵玄監修オリジナルドラマ「サニーデイ　ライフ」.  Which is translated into something like "Sunny Day Life", an original Drama produced by Urobuchi Gen, who is the scriptwriter for the Madoka anime.  Cool... I can't wait. :)  I sometimes listen to Drama CDs at work too. :)

lunch on the 22nd floor

Today, like most day's, I packed my lunch to work again.  But, unlike my usual practice, I did not eat at my desk.  Two of my colleagues also packed their lunch today and one of them suggested that we eat at the skygarden on the 22nd floor of the building.

We've been getting blue skies filled with white clouds lately and today was yet one such day.  It was really pleasant and relaxing to spend the lunch hour relaxing with good company and surrounded by a pocket of nature in an environment of concrete and glass.

The above is a photo of the view you get from the spot where we had lunch. I kinda regret not taking more photos as well as photos of the little garden.

Am wondering if I should consider making a small bento lunch to shrare with my colleagues.  K... I am suddenly really tired again and think I will attempt to take a short nap on the train.  Bye for now. :?

Mahou Shoujo Madoka blu-ray vol.3

Really short post.  Just taking a break at work.  The box art for vol.3 is out.  Still no word on what the cd packed with the limited editions will be.

mahou shoujo madoka - otona anime vol.20

Look what came via courier yesterday? :)  I used Kinokuniya's bookweb service for the first time yesterday.  It's a no frills online book order system  where you order books using their online catalogue and they send you an email informing you that they received your order.  Then you simply wait.  There is no online record of your order, except for that email.  And even after they confirm that they will send out the order, there is no way to track the package which is quite simply packed in a kino plastic bag taped shut by the delivery order sticker.

It's not bad though, if you order more than SGD50 worth of books, they will waver the shipping charge of SGD5.  I am thinking of ordering manga and japanese books via this method in the future cuz looking for them in the Japanese section of Kino can be quite time consuming.

This volume of otona anime features Mahou Shoujo Madoka.  Lots of pages on the anime and also a one page on Kajiura Yuki and Kalafina.  Lots of stuff on Mahou Shoujo animes in general too.  I tried to read it.  I think I can manage it somewhat but lots and lots of Kanji and no furigana.  :(  I guess it'll be something I can only get to properly in the future.

May shoot photos or scan it later today. Depends.  I'm on my way to work now and will be playing table tennis then doing more studying tonight. So, pretty busy today.

P.s. am glad the singapore general elections are over.  This was one of the most mean spirited elections in singapore's history in my opinion.  Lots of cyberbullying ... and ironically most of it not from the incumbent government.  But I don't want to say more... cuz those bullies will jump on anything and I am very busy and not interested in spending my day deleting nasty comments.  

Mahou Shoujo Madoka - Risuani Vol.5 pix

Hi hi.  After a good night's sleep, I feel a lot more rested then before.  This morning, before I left for work, I decided to take some photos of the Madoka related material.  It would have been better to scan them but I didn't feel like taking the time to do it and also, I didn't really want to flatten my magazine.

I have been having problems posting photos using Blogger-droid after the update, so let's hope it works. If not, i'll either fix it during lunch at work or tonight at home.

Oh, oh... before I post the photos, I wanted to say I am really excited to find out that Kajiura Yuki is going to score the upcoming Fate/Zero anime.  I had a couple issues with the Fate/Stay Night anime but will definitely watch it cuz she is writing the score.  Am hoping Kalafina will sing the themes cuz then I think we will get a third album and another concert and give me another reason to go to Japan.  If the announce it early enough, I think I will be able to lock in my leave. :)

Anyway, here are photos of the pages in the mag.  There is a nice long interview with Kajiura.  I only just started trying to read it... going to take me a while. :)

Mahou Shoujo Madoka - Risuani Vol.5

First, let me apologise for my extreme grumpiness and negativity in my previous post.  People have been spamming my facebook with a deludge of election related nastiness that I had to remove a lot of my friends from my news feed.  I'm mostly a moderate and am open to voting for the opposition candidate if I think he is better than the PAP candidate.  But lately, I just feel like voting for the PAP, no matter who the person is, just to piss off those annoying people who think they can make me do what they want me to do. The decision is mine and mine alone... so back off.  Grrrrr....

Ok... off my chest... let's not revisit that grumpiness. :)  Look at what I got in the mail today. :) There is an interview with Kajiura Yuki and a very short report on the Kalafina "Magia" concert mixed in with the Mahou Shoujo Madoka related stuff.  Cool.  Still can't read about 3/4 of the articles but someday I'll get there. :)  Not sure if i'll make small scans or shoot some pix of it or do nothing.  Depends on how much time and energy I have.  This week is actually a very busy week... so we'll see.
