Kajiura Yuki ~ Kimi no Gin no Niwa - twitter event

I wanted to post this up earlier but had to leave for work. Kajiura Yuki will be hosting a twitter event for the recently released Kalafina single, Kimi no Gin no Niwa. Details are in the twitter message above. :)
Okay...back to playing my 3ds on the train. :)

Kara no Kyoukai: Mirai Fukuin ~ BD/DVD boxset w/ Soundtrack CD - announce

source
This is awesome news!!  ufotable has just announced the release of the BD/DVD boxset release of Kara no Kyoukai: Mirai Fukuin.  This Limited Edition is set for a 19 Feb 2014 release.  And the awesome news for those of us who are also fans of Kajiura Yuki is that this set will be released with a soundtrack CD included.

This will be a 4 disc Limited Edition release.  Two BD/DVD and two CDs:

Disc 1: Kara no Kyoukai: Mirai Fukuin
Disc 2: Kara no Kyoukai: Mirai Fukuin extra chorus
CD1: Original Soundtrack CD
CD2: Shuumatsu Rokuon / The Garden of Oblivion - drama CD

The box cover will also feature an illustation by Takeuchi Takachi.  And it will include a brochure, an orignal booklet, a special pinup set and the CM for Mirai Fukuin will also be included in one of the discs, I presume.

I'm very happy about this because aside from being a Kajiura Yuki & Kalafina fan, I also really, really like Kara no Kyoukai and I have very good feelings for the ufotable studio as well.  Definitely pre-ordering this when it gets listed.

ufotable will also have a question and answer event before the release of this item.  The questions and answers will be included in the booklet in this release.  Click me for details on how to participate. :)  The event will end on the 2nd Dec 2013.

Okay... I have to dash... time to go to work. :)

Edit 2pm:
p.s.  Oh... it's listed on CDJapan already.

There are a four versions.

Yuki Kajiura LIVE vol.#10“Kaji Fes. 2013”AFTER LIVE MEMORIAL BOOKLET ~ unboxing

Finally... this is my third and final post for the night. :)

The Yuki Kajiura LIVE vol.#10“Kaji Fes. 2013”AFTER LIVE MEMORIAL BOOKLET was released as a FictionJunction Fan Club exclusive and as I don't live in Japan, I can't apply for a membership and hence, I had to ask my really awesome friend, Itsuko, to help me buy this item.  And the even more awesome thing about this item is.... Itsuko refused to let me pay for it and gave it to me as a gift instead.  That's really very cool of her. :)  Thank you!! :)

This is Kajiura Yuki's 20th year in the music industry and to celebrate this milestone, she threw a 5 1/2 hour long Live earlier this year.  Kaji Fes. 2013 had an amazing guest list and I would love to have gone for the concert but as I was already obligated to make a pretty expensive trip in October, I had no choice but to give the concert a miss and hope in futile despair for a blu-ray / dvd release.   Okay... that is a tad dramatic but it does describe to a certain extent my sadness at my inability to make it to any of Kajiura Yuki's FictionJunction lives and the Kalafina lives this year. :(

A Kaji Fes. Live pamphlet was released before this booklet and Itsuko helped me buy it.  Here is my unboxing post of that pamphlet.  Click me.

After the release of that pamphlet, Kajiura Yuki also decided to release a fan club exclusive booklet that covers the event itself.  So we now have this... the Memorial Booklet.

Compared to Kajiura Yuki's Live pamphlets, this is a lot simpler and a lot less wordy.  Also, we don't get the pretty binding and the small bits of line drawings that can be found peppered throughout many of Kajiura Yuki's live pamphlets.  This is pretty much a photobook with just a few pages of text.

The book dimensions are about the size of an A4 size sheet of paper.  The font and back cover is glossy and smooth.

It opens with a foreword from Kajiura Yuki herself.  And then are two pages of text detailing the events of the first half of the concert and the setlist too.  Followed by photos of the first half of the live.  After which we get another two page spread detailing the events of the second half of the concert and then a ton more photos.  The last section of the photobook also includes pages of photographs of the rehearsals at the studio and the rehearsals at the concert venue itself.  The booklet ends with a 3 page interview with Kajiura Yuki and a one page credit page.

Here are the rest of the photos.  I tried to give a good mix of photos and tried to get sample photos of everyone... but I was quite tired when I shot these photos, so hopefully I got them all... :P

Okay... I admit... it's a little more Keiko centric then I expected. :P

Okay... that's it for today... the next post I write will hopefully be a continuation of my account of my very eventful visit to Japan which will eventually include quite a bit of Mahou Shoujo Madoka related events as well as the account of the Kalafina Cafe visit.  It won't be tomorrow night... I'm not sure when I'll write yet... we'll see how busy I get during the week... for now... I need to go write a response to something and after that... sleep.  Good night and I hope you all enjoyed the 3 "unboxing" posts tonight. :)  Oyasumi. :)

Kalafina LIVE PHOTO BOOK -LIVE TOUR 2013 Consolation ~ unboxing

Again, I will try and keep this shot and picture heavy because I have another unboxing post that I would like to get through after this and then reply one comment on the blog and then after that .... sleep. :)

This was one of the items I ordered from the Spacecraft online shop and had them shipped to one of my friends in Japan.  Because I got it from Spacecraft, I also received a postcard they were offering with the purchase.

This is a pretty nice photobook release.  The book dimensions are about the same as an A4 size piece of paper.  And it's pretty much ALL photos and the only text we see are on title pages and the credit page.  The front and back cover pages are slightly glossy and the print is slightly embossed.  The cover is reminiscent of the soon to be released Consolation Special Live Blu-ray / DVD

The paper that they used to print the rest of the book is not glossy and has a slight texture.  Lots of nice photos of the trio at the live and during practice sessions. :)  Here are the rest of the photos.

I counted about 48 pages excluding the cover page.  Each vocalist gets about 10 pages devoted to solo full page photos of them.  The rest comprise of group shots and montage pages.  As usual, it's a little Keiko centric. :P

You can buy this item at the Animate bookstore in Japan and if you do it comes with a different postcard.  I shot a photo of that postcard while I was in Japan, here is the link to the post about it.... click me.

Animate and Spacecraft don't ship outside of Japan though. :(  CDJapan does list this item and offers both the Spacecraft version and the Animate version.  Currently they still have one copy of the Animate version on hand.  The Spacecraft version is listed as OOP but it is actually still available at the Spacecraft webstore but if you want to get it through CDJapan, you'll have to go through the special request link.

Here are the links on CDJapan should you be interested in getting this book.

Kalafina LIVE PHOTO BOOK -LIVE TOUR 2013 Consolation-[space craft bonus postcard]

Because these are special orders, they won't come that cheap.  I'm not sure if you'll feel that it's worth the CDJapan price of ordering it from another site and shipping to you but I thought the price I paid for it was okay.  But of course, I got mine directly from Spacecraft.

Okay... next unboxing post coming up soon. :)

Kalafina LIVE TOUR 2013 “Consolation” ~ goods ~ mini-poster set of 4

I hope to get through 3 "unboxing" posts today... we'll see. :)  I find them easier to write thsn travel journals and event write ups, reviews etc... and as I am really quite tired today, I think I won't try anything too ambitious.

First up, something really simple.  Before I visited Japan in October, I ordered several items from the Spacecraft webstore and sent them to one of my Japanese friends in Japan.  After that, it was a matter of bringing home a ton of stuff for myself and other friends. :)

from Spacecraft webstore
For some reason, I wanted this poster set.  Even though I am running out of wall space, I still wanted it.  Also, I really wanted to give the Hikaru poster to Shangyou as a gift. :)

The posters are printed on nice, stiff paper and I was glad that they were shipped flat, with a thick piece of cardboard below for support, and not rolled up like posters often are.

I think the girls look lovely in the photos and the headshots of each of them looks quite nice because they are so big and nicely printed. :)

Anyway, check out the photos of the 4 posters below.  I placed the "Alleluia" cd next to the posters to give you an idea of the dimensions of these posters because without the cd, the photos make them look quite large. :)  Also, I scanned the poster of Kalafina, as well as the headshot of Keiko but as my scanner isn't big enough, it got crop and there is a funny light aberration at the bottom of the photo.  Because of that, I will also include photos shot on my cell phone camera because those will not have those problems but they will be at an angle because the light in my bedroom is right overhead and I can't get a nice shot in without the light casting a large ugly overblown circle on it. Unfortunately, I can't scan Hikaru's because it is no longer with me and since I can't do Hikaru's, I decided not to do Wakana's too, partly because I'm a little lazy to do it :P and partly because I have a lot of stuff to get through.

Okay... enough talk, here you go. :)

cheers... next unboxing post coming up later tonight. :)
